About

Peter Wallimann was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, in 1965. He has been drawing and writing since the age of 16, soon discovering his love for art, photography, and literature, but also for natural sciences. Peter studied Chemistry at the ETH and University of Zurich, and completed his postdoctoral studies at the M.I.T. in Boston (MA), USA. After a career as a scientific editor and later as a manager in the chemical industries, he left science and started to work as a freelance artist, curator, and photography collector.

Around the Millennium, Peter began to teach himself computer graphics. Over the years, he has created numerous analog and digital works of art, the focus lying on geometric structures and shapes related to Sacred Geometry. This, in turn, led to the birth of the Sensigns project, the first exhibition taking place in 2006 in Berne.

In 2006, Peter ventured into nature photography, taking thousands of high-resolution macro photographs of insects, especially of butterflies and dragonflies. In 2018, he launched the successful photographic art project Natura Poetica. Both his graphical works and his photographs have been presented to the public in several solo and group Exhibitions.

Since 2015, Peter has been the artistic director of WBB GALLERY, a Zurich-based international fine art gallery dedicated to pure art. He has curated more than 40 exhibitions with both acclaimed and young artists and photographers.

As an Author, Peter has written numerous poems, aphorisms, and short stories, as well as the 2023 novel «Der letzte Millionär» (The Last Millionair), plus several articles on various topics.

Peter lives and works in the greater Zurich region and on the Canary Islands, Spain.

To recognize Beauty means to respect Life.
